The Muslim World League Condemns Continued Criminal Attacks by the Houthi Terrorist Militia on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist militia’s continued criminal aggression against civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as its repeated targeting of Muslims’ holy sites and their most sacred places in Makkah and Madinah, the Kingdom’s capital, Riyadh, and the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran, Taif, and Yanbu. The MWL also condemned the militia’s continued targeting of Saudi vessels in the southern Red Sea and the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, renewed his condemnation of these terrorist attacks, which violate all religious values as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms. He stressed that these attacks further demonstrate the criminal conduct of this terrorist militia and its rejection of all efforts to reach a comprehensive peaceful and political solution that would restore matters to their proper constitutional order, which the Houthi militia overthrew.
On behalf of the MWL’s academies, bodies, and international councils, as well as all Muslim peoples represented under its umbrella, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa reaffirmed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter the aggressors and safeguard its security, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents. He also reaffirmed support for the Kingdom in fulfilling its duty of neighborliness and brotherhood by supporting the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership in restoring stability to the Yemeni state and its constitutional institutions, reasserting its sovereignty over its entire territory, and defeating this criminal group and its coup against Yemen’s legitimate government, which has brought death and destruction upon Yemen and its people.
