 Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the continued storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli settlers and extremist ministers under the protection of Israeli police, as well as the raising of the Israeli flag within its courtyards.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced this dangerous violation, which inflames the feelings of Muslims worldwide and is a grave violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites. He warned of the risks posed by the Israeli occupation’s continued disregard for the historical and legal status quo at the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, which undermines peace efforts and threatens regional and international security and stability.
His Excellency further stressed the urgent necessity for the international community to assume its moral and legal responsibilities to immediately halt these violations. He also expressed strong support for the statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Türkiye, which called for confronting all Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories and reaffirmed steadfast support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state.
